Sakhi Sanga-ladies meet – started Jan 26 bringing togeth-
er all women devotees together. Over 20 matajis assembled for
this event.
Combined Vyasapuja of four ISKCON gurus: As a unique
event in ISKCON, VCC celebrated the combined Vyasapuja of four
gurus: HH Hanumath Presaka Swami, HH Radhanath Swami,
Romapada Swami, and HH Bhakti Vikasa Swami concurrently with
the 67th birthday of Harivilas prabhu on Jan 5
Combined Vyasapuja
Shanti Yajna, for peace and prosperity of the
world on Jan 5. When monarchies reigned the kings would these
yajnas. However with current democracies the leaders are not en-
gaged in welfare of everyone so such ceremonies have stopped.
VCC is taking the lead in doing such Yajna simultaneously with
chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra.
Nityananda Trayodasi: ISKCON Seattle celebrated the Nit-
yananda Trayodasi festival on Feb 26. Lord Nityananda Prabhu ap-
peared as Lord Caitanya’s principal associate for spreading the con-
gregational chanting of the holy names of the Lord. He especially
spread the holy name of the Lord throughout Bengal. He is consid-
ered an incarnation of Lord Balarama.
