The Vedic Cultural Center will host a Conference on
Terrorism. Three guest speakers will explain their
views on terrorism from 1 to 3 PM and then a
question and answer period will follow until 5 PM.
Admission free. T he guest speakers will be,
Craig B Hulet – an author and
expert consultant on matters of national security
for congressmen, corporations and government
agencies. Mr. Hulet is a dynamic speaker. He has
authored a book entitled “The Hydra of Carnage”
which discusses why the USA has not succeeded in
decisively winning the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
He is guest speaker on many radio and television
programs and in American universities.
Daniel Griffin - a former trained
combatant for the Afghan Mujhadin who served in
active combat against the Russians. Later, he helped
to defend the Bosnians against the Serbs. He will
present his views about the Islamic principle of
Jihad.
Harry Terhanian –
the director of the Vedic Cultural Center will
present the Vedic view of legitimate war and combat
according to rules of engagement. He will compare
Vedic and Koranic principles of warfare and contrast
them with the modern tactics of terrorists in
attacks such as in 9/11, Mumbai, Pakistan, Iraq and
Israel.
Griffin and Terhanian will speak
to the problem of radicalization of youth by
trainers who distort religious teaching to promote
racial, religious or nationalistic agendas. A new
kind of unconventional warfare is being waged that
may continue for more than one generation due to
continual radicalization of people through the
internet. Terrorism is and will remain the most
serious problem facing modern governments unless a
comprehensive solution is found. It will not be
defeated by military force. |
